COMEDY RE-view: Jordan at Re-Bar was 'Stitches Funny'!

by MK Scott

Seattle Welcomed back Leslie Jordan to Seattle last night for night one, of a 2 night gig at Re-Bar. (He was last here in 2008 with the Seattle men's Chorus). Jordan, 57, came out to a nearly sold out crowd and jumped from one story after another, and talked mostly about his relationship with his overly-supported mother. The "Sordid Lives' star also joked about his journey with "Lives" the play in a small theater in Hollywood to Iconic film. From when he first hit New York from Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1982 to his Emmy win for 'Will and Grace" in 2006 as Beverly Leslie  (Karen Walker's Nemesis).  Jordan also joked how they wanted Joan Collins, but after she turned the part, the producers want a short, southern, flamboyant male in a white suit! HALLO!

CABARET HIGHLIGHTS: Star-Studded Cabaret for Marriage Equality raise over 5K!

Nellie Steals the show!
The final numbers are in, and I’m happy to report that after expenses the Cabaret for Marriage Equality that was held on Saturday, September 7th, raised over $5,000 to approve Ref-74. The show (at Seattle's Town Hall) itself was Great with the Fabulous Alison Arngrim (Nellie from Little House) and she brought the equally fabulous, Scott Silverman (Gay and Jewish comedian),  Abby Drake from LA, and the local talents of Peggy Platt, Captain Smartypants, Jackie Hell and Jinkx Monsoon. They donated their Talents and kept the expenses low. The audience was more of a lesbian and older couples crowd.

COMEDY RE-view: OUTscene Fave, Tony Tripoli brings Sexy Back to Seattle!

Tripoli had the "Guns and the Goods'!
by MK Scott

OUTscene NW warmly welcomed Tony Tripoli Back to Seattle for a 2 night gig at Re-Bar this past weekend. Tony gave credit to his pal, Dina Martina for introducing him to her Seattle stomping grounds. Before Tony came out, Seattle's Own, Lily Armani warmed up with her brand of sexy humor. Tony was once again introduced by the spirit of his mentor, Joan Rivers and started off with all the Joan Rivers and Fashion Police dirt, including this weeks episode with special guest, Ryan Lochte and how he stripped down his spandex swim suit and ended up 'Peeing' in the E! Fountain with Joan! Tony was able to get the famed spandex (autographed) from Ryan, himself! The Crowd was wowed when Tony held them up!

INTER-view: OUTscene FAVE, Tripoli's Trippin' back to Seattle!

by Aiden Klein
Via SGN

'Stand-up comedy is just like meth - you'll eventually go broke and lose all your teeth.' But that will not stop Tony Tripoli from making his second appearance here in Seattle on August 17 and 18 at Re-bar (1114 Howell St.), where he will present his stand-up show, 'Tony Tripoli: Dirty, Sexy, Funny.' Yes, the smoking-hot lead writer for Joan Rivers is ready to dish it up with Seattleites once again, and no topic is off limits. 'There's a lot of shit out there that's wrong and I think we need to talk about it. For instance, that thing that Mrs. Rivers calls a face. Now lets discuss'.
